Terms of Use
TERMS OF USE
Last updated October 6, 2026
These terms apply when you use the services of Poimena (’organisation’, ‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘our’), such as when you:
Use our mobile application (Remember Me. Bible Memory Joy) or our web app at https://web.remem.me
Visit our website at https://www.remem.me
Connect Remember Me to an AI assistant
(together the ‘Services’). By using the Services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information.
1. OUR SERVICES
Remember Me helps you memorize Bible verses. Poimena is a nonprofit organisation in Switzerland and provides the Services free of charge and without advertising. We may change, extend or discontinue features at any time.
2. YOUR USER ACCESS
You can use the app without registering; your verses then stay on your device. To keep your verses in sync between devices, to use the web app or to connect an AI assistant to your own verses, you register a user access with your email address and a password. Keep your password secret: you are responsible for what is done with your user access. Within your user access you can keep several verse accounts, for example one per language.
If you are a minor, you need the permission of a parent or guardian to register.
3. YOUR CONTENT
The verses, notes, labels and other content you add remain yours. You allow us to store, copy and process them as far as this is necessary to provide the Services, for example to sync them between your devices and to back them up.
Only add and publish content you are entitled to use. Many Bible translations are protected by copyright; observe the terms of their publishers.
Published collections. When you publish a collection, anyone can view it and copy it into their own account. This also applies to a collection that is not shown in Discover: anyone with its link can open it. You grant us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to display and distribute your published collections within the Services and to let other users copy them. You can stop publishing a collection at any time; copies that others have already made remain theirs.
We may remove published content that breaches these terms or the law.
4. ACCEPTABLE USE
When you use the Services, do not:
Break the law or infringe the rights of others, such as copyright
Publish content that is hateful, discriminatory, pornographic or misleading, or that glorifies violence
Try to access other users’ data or our systems without permission
Disrupt or overload the Services, for example with automated requests beyond our documented interfaces and their limits
Pretend to be someone else
We may suspend or close a user access that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms.
5. AI ASSISTANTS
You can connect Remember Me to an AI assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Grok (see Connect an AI Assistant ). The assistant then acts in your user access on your instructions: it can read, add, change and delete your verses and the collections you publish. Check what it does; you are responsible for the actions you ask it to take. To protect your verses, an assistant can make only a limited number of changes per day.
The assistant is provided by a third party under its own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for what the assistant says or writes, including Bible texts or explanations it produces itself. You can end the connection at any time in your assistant’s settings.
6. BIBLE TEXTS AND OTHER SOURCES
Bible texts come from third-party sources or are entered by users. We do not guarantee that they are complete, correct or always available. Third-party websites and services that the Services link to are subject to their own terms.
7. OPEN SOURCE
The source code of Remember Me is published under open-source licences. These licences govern the code; these terms govern the use of the Services.
8. AVAILABILITY AND LIABILITY
We provide the Services free of charge and ‘as is’. We do our best to keep them available and your data safe, but we cannot guarantee that they will always be available or free of errors. If you want a copy of your own, export your verses from time to time (see Export/Import Verses as File ).
To the extent permitted by law, we exclude our liability. This does not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence. Mandatory consumer protection law remains unaffected.
9. ENDING YOUR USE
You can stop using the Services at any time and delete your verse accounts and your user access (see Editing and Deleting User Access ).
If a user access has not been used for a long time, we may suspend it and later delete it together with its data. We notify you by email beforehand, so that you can keep it by signing in.
10. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. We announce significant changes on our website or in the app. If you continue to use the Services after a change, you accept the updated terms.
11. APPLICABLE LAW AND PLACE OF JURISDICTION
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is the seat of Poimena in Fischenthal, Switzerland. Places of jurisdiction that the law prescribes for consumers remain reserved.
